Charlie Vernon will give two world premieres. The first is for Bass Trombone and Piano by Wim Bex, Vademecum. The second is a suite from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev for Tenor Trombone and Piano. Yoko Yamada will accompany on piano.

Charlie Vernon is bass trombonist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Having held the position since 1986, Mr. Vernon has made a tremendous impact on classical music and the role of the trombone as a solo instrument. This site is dedicated to him.
